SligoTour is an independently-created website, which is not connected in any way to the sites of the official bodies or towns in Sligo, or to the tourist authorities.

The images and words have been provided by Mary O'Hara, a qualified teacher and mountain walking guide living in the Austrian Tyrol. Mary has spent many years working in the tourist industry and, with family connections to northwest Ireland, has created a record of her personal impressions of the area.

The website and programming has been provided by Steve Rout, also a mountain walking guide in the Tyrol who runs his own web publishing company.
